2017 Club Season Launch – Luminaire

It was a great privilege to attend the 2017 season launch for the Essendon Football Club. This is a special event and one that should be put on your future calendar wish list.

  • CEO Xavier Campbell reiterated the challenges ahead in front of a packed venue.
  • John Worsfold outlined the basic aim of attacking and kicking more goals this season, but made the point no club is going to make it easy.
  • Ever positive Kevin Sheedy speculated on membership reaching 70,000 this year, wished Van Diemen Dons great success.
  • Director, Paul Cousins and his wife Kelly epitomised the quality of people behind the Club.

All the players are to be commended for their attitude and presence on the evening. They, mixed, talked, showed interest and all in all proved high individual qualities off the field as well as hopefully they will on.

Can’t wait for the round one game against Hawthorn. Thanks to the Van Diemen Dons members for making such a wonderful experience possible.

Phil and Craig Cooper

EXPERIENCES

It doesn’t get any better than this

We work hard to provide our members with experiences they will never forget. We understand that engagement with the footy club is often difficult when you’re an interstate supporter and we will continue to work with the club to provide more of these for 2017.

This video, from after 2016 North Melbourne game, was filmed by one of our members during their post match room visit
